Camping Essentials
- If you're planning a trip that spans more than a day, and we suggest you do, ensure you pack complete camping gear.
- Bring along multiple sets of clothing designed to protect against the varied weather conditions of southern Europe.
- Mosquitoes can be a bother, so don't forget your mosquito nets and a reliable repellent.
- Safety first! A camping-specific first aid kit is a must-have.
- Stay hydrated! Pack large water flasks and, if possible, water purification tablets.
- Plan your meals. Bring along food that doesn't require refrigeration and can be prepared without lighting a fire, sufficient for the duration of your stay.
- Croatian border police frown on pitching tents. Other bivouac-style accessories are fine (cot, tarp, etc.).
Electronics
- Keep connected with one or more mobile phones, preferably housed in durable, waterproof cases.
- Don't forget your chargers and power banks.
- Extra batteries are a lifesaver. Bring spares, along with the necessary cables for recharging them and your phone.
- Lighting is crucial. While your phone's flashlight is handy, it's wise to pack additional lamps for better visibility.
Settling and Transportation Equipment
- The tools you'll need largely depend on your plans in Liberland.
- If construction or groundwork is on the agenda, ensure you have the necessary building and digging tools.
- Consider bringing a bike. Some areas might be inaccessible by car, making a bicycle a convenient mode of transport.
- Lastly, if you're bringing a lot of equipment, a wheelbarrow or similar tool can be invaluable. It'll make transporting your gear over longer distances (around 5 kilometres) much more manageable.
